Here is the picnic table beta tester we built. Pretty cool you can see in the next picture how it breaks into two benches!
Orientation for the Camp.
I am very excited to move on to the camp and it should really be interesting. Stay tuned for more on that. We leave at 7am tomorrow!
In the afternoon today we went to the river front and then to the Killing fields for those in the group who had not seen them. As it was last year it was extremely sombering and so saddening. I would point you to last years blog entry on the killing fields for more information and pictures. I took almost no pictures of that today and instead listened to more of the in depth accounts on the recorded tour.
Here are some random pictures from today.
I spent about 25 dollars today from this little street girl after she bet me that she could whoop me in Rock / Paper / Scissors. If I won I got all the things for 5$. If she won. $25. OMG it was so funny, she went so fast, I got so confused at one point I was going "1-2-3" with the scissors already. She was dying laughing and frankly the whole affair was worth every penny. What a cute kid!

The Buddhists attach their prayers to coconuts and send them down the river. There were a bunch of these floating by on the Mekong.

How a family of four travels... all on a scooter! (and I have seen five, but couldn't get a picture)
Please use a hands free cellphone device while driving, buckle your baby into an approved carseat and if you must ride on the back of my scooter in heavy traffic... side saddle is not the best option!
