2014 Cambodia Mission Trip

We have begun the planning for the 2014 Mission trip to Cambodia.  As a reminder to those who are following the blog, the organization that we work with is the New Hope For Orphans:

I am so proud to say that since last year's trip, Wendy and I sponsor a boy in Cambodia through the New Hope for Orphans, My big sister Pamela and her husband Tommy sponsor a sweet little girl who is on the Thailand border and DJ and I (business partners at Digital Consultants) Sponsor two brothers on the Thailand border.  If you feel moved through this blog or for whatever reason, there is such a huge need there for your help.  Just let me know and I can walk you through the process.  What I love about this group is that I know all the assistance goes to them directly, I know the leadership of the group and I know the children.  I am so looking forward to seeing all or most of our sponsor children this summer!

Here is a picture of Man Him, the boy that Wendy and I sponsor.  Here is him with the new bike and our care package.  I am really hoping to see him.

Tentatively the dates for our trip are 25 July through 2 August or so.  Still have not finalized the actual dates.

The big project that we will work on with the children is to rebuild the tables and benches they use for eating and classes.  Many of the homes have none so the children eat on the floor.

Here you can see two orphanages where the one on the top has no tables at all, and the one on the bottom you can see the tables are falling apart.  We are taking in donations to help buy the wood and hardware for the tables so if anyone is interested please let me know.

I am very much looking forward to getting away from all the Hubub of the USA so that I can focus on what God has in store for me.  It is truly a life changing event and I hope that all of my family and friends get the chance to do this type of thing.

more to come so stay tuned!

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions...
Stephan
